OZORA FESTIVAL 2023, Hungary, Chambok House – “The Seeds of The Metaverse”
This impromptu presentation explained the origin of virtual worlds and how they can be the precursors to the upcoming Metaverse. Julian also covered MetaTr@versal portal crawls, and the differences between Web2, Web3, and WebXR immersive worlds.
About Chambok House: Probably the oldest building on the festival grounds, Chambok House is a somewhat mysterious place with a history that stretches back over half a century. First servants’ quarters, then a stable, the house got its name after its last resident, an old man called Csámbok. When all the other inhabitants started deserting the settlement, he was the only one who refused to leave and lived there all by himself until he was eventually evicted by force by the communist regime. The building’s historic past is embodied in the somewhat spooky atmosphere inside, but don’t be misled! Chambok House is in top shape since its renovation a few years ago and it is the best suited place for holding lectures and round table talks, technically and comfort-wise. In case you didn’t come just for the fun of it all and wish to get some extra, useful or enlightening food for thought, the lectures here cover a wide range of topics – practical or psychedelic, scientific or spiritual, but one of which will certainly arouse your interest. And if not, then you can still enjoy some of the evening theater programs that take place here.
