Julian Reyes of KEYFRAME has been a longtime partner of Pyramind, America’s premiere music production school.
Julian Reyes began his career as a professional computer graphics artist and 3D animator, primarily for demonstrative evidence used in court trials (e.g. accident recreations, forensic animations, medical illustrations). He then spent many years working in design and marketing for technology companies, engineering firms, and design studios. His love for electronic music inspired him to launch his media and publishing firm Keyframe-Entertainment. Since 2013, Keyframe has released music on its label, managed artists, sponsored music festivals, published films and books, and directed crowdfunding and marketing campaigns.
Julian Reyes has years of experience as Executive Producer, Music Director, and DJ. His creative pursuits reflect a lifelong dialogue with an array of art, music, and technology. As an artist manager and A&R, Julian has been responsible for bringing artists to Drizzly Records, Joof Recordings, Rapid Response, GigaBeat, Pangea Recordings, and many more. He’s connected Paul Oakenfold with DJ Jason Knight’s track “Deep Forest” (Derek Ryan remix with vocals by Jiin) which was featured on the new Four Seasons – Autumn Album (Mixed By Paul Oakenfold) Track #9. Julian also has been the San Francisco representative for the Ultra Music Festival for several years, and has collaborated on numerous Burning Man sound camps.
Julian created Keyframe-Entertainment, a company that bridges underground culture and the mainstream, and showcases a selection of San Francisco’s best DJs, producers, and events. Keyframe’s initial mission was to share the Bay Area underground sound globally and to create prosperity for the international electronic dance community.
In 2017, Julian was inspired by the philosophy of remixology to not only produce the music remixes of IAMEVE’s 2016 “Starman,” but to remix the music video as well. Keyframe has extensive experience working in film production and screening.
Keyframe produced the film Electronic Awakening, an ethnographic documentary that investigates the spirituality and mysticism of Electronic Dance Music culture. In 2018, Julian expanded his services to offer VR development and consultation with KEYFRAME VR. He has training in Unity 3D, was an early participant in the Oculus Launch Pad program, and is part of the AltSpaceVR and FB Horizon communities. KEYFRAME VR is a creative technology agency that produces cost-effective, immersive experiences for startups. KEYFRAME’s VR services cover a range of needs like Product Demos in VR, Prototypes, Turn-key Solutions, Training and Development, Education, and Entertainment to create better brand interactions through mindful design. KEYFRAME offers turnkey VR solutions for the Consumer Electronics and Technology sectors.
